Horse-riding at Aintree racecourse
A group of our Key Stage Two children enjoyed a fantastic day at Aintree racecourse, where they learnt so much about horse-racing and the history of the course. They were given a guided tour of the grounds, including the weighing room and the winner's enclosure.
The children also enjoyed a horse-riding session, and the day was rounded off with a delicious buffet lunch.
We would like to thank Everton in the Community for organising this event for us, and also the team at the Aintree Community Programme for this amazing experience. The programme has five themes focussed on important issues in the local community, with an aim to inspire children to be the best they can be through the power of horse-racing and the Grand National.
As you can see from the photographs, everyone had a fantastic time!
