Welcome to Year 2RH! We have had a lovely start to the year and it has been wonderful to see so many happy, smiley faces walk through the door each day. You have returned after the summer holidays with positive attitudes to learning and I am super excited for all the fun activities and units of work we will be covering this year.
Reading
We encourage children to read as much as they can independently, with an adult and as a class. All children should have a home/school reading book and a reading for pleasure book. Reading books will go home every night and are to be returned every morning to school. Please write a comment in the reading record praising how well your child has read.
PE
PE is on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. Children should come to school in their PE kits on these days.
Homework
Homework will be uploaded onto the online learning platform 'Seesaw' of a Friday. If your child is unable to access Seesaw, paper copies are available. Children also have access to NumBots. Here they can increase their knowledge and speed of their place value knowledge as well as challenging their friends and teachers!
