Mr Higginson and Mrs Coombes
Welcome to 5DH! We are a friendly bunch who are considerate, kind and helpful. We are looking forward to sharing all of the fun things that we get up to this year!
Reading
All children should have a reading record, reading book and reading for pleasure book that they bring to and from school each day. We encourage the children to read independently, with an adult and in groups. Please write a comment in the reading record noting how many pages you have read with your child and a positive comment about their reading.
Attendance and Punctuality
We expect all children to have excellent attendance and to be punctual (in the line for 9) to school. Our school target is 97% but we are still aiming for 100% each week. With perfect attendance and punctuality, the children will not miss any learning opportunities.
PE Days
Our PE days are Wednesday and Friday. This half term, we will be developing our gymnastics skills. The children should come into school in their school PE kits on these days.
Homework
Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be returned to school on or before the following Friday. The children have access to Timestable Rockstars and Spelling Shed login details so they can practice these at home.
