PSHE

At Blueberry Park, we believe that our PSHE curriculum will enable pupils to develop a strong sense of self‑worth and emotional wellbeing, build positive and respectful relationships with others, equip them with the tools to keep themselves safe and make informed choices. It supports children in developing resilience, empathy, and independence, while preparing them for the opportunities and challenges of modern life. Through engaging lessons, real‑life contexts, and a whole‑school ethos of kindness and respect, we aim to empower children to flourish both now and in the future.

In EYFS, PSHE is taught through personal, social and emotional development and through PSHE lessons. These lessons help them to develop skills in managing themselves, self regulation and building positive relationships.

In KS1 and KS2, we explore the same 6 topics at the same point throughout the year. Each year, prior knowledge is built upon through fun and engaging lessons consisting of connecting games, circle time, discussions, calm me times and activities. These topics include; being me the world, celebrating difference, dreams and goals, healthy me, relationships and changing me.

Progression will be assessed through evaluation of children's work in floorboards.
