Blueberry Park Primary School

Love Learning, Love Life!

Forest School

..

Blueberry Park Primary has been providing Forest School activities since 2016 in a small piece of natural woodland just two miles from school. The school uses a Base Camp with seating, a canopy and a fire pit. A number of natural paths meander through areas of the woodland, making it ideal to explore and to make and keep the site safe for children and adults.

Forest School is an approach to education that makes use of the outdoors to create a unique and changing learning environment. Where children:- explore, climb trees, breath fresh air, create games without modern technology, identify trees and learn to respect their links to nature. Through weekly sessions, the children learn to develop trust, resilience and confidence along with a respect for the natural environment and the role it plays in their present and future well being.

The Forest School at Blueberry Park Primary is run by a qualified Forest School Leader and takes place each week. Our aim at Blueberry Park is that every child has the opportunity to benefit from sessions in a forest setting during their time with us.
